As Chico State University's premiere animal-assisted therapy group, It is an honor serving the students each week and we absolutely love the joy and smiles we get to bring to students faces. From broken hearts, presentation anxiety and bad grades, to loneliness and homesickness, the dogs that comfort our future leaders through some of the most demanding years of their lives must be able to handle taking on stress without becoming overwhelmed. This job is for pets that can handle 200+ college students within an hour visiting with them for loves and cuddles indoors. We are currently only accepting applications for cats, dogs, bunnies, and reptiles to come to the university at this time. Please check out the Steps to Certification page to find out how.
After completeing all the steps and receiving your bandana and t-shirt, please join our brand new facebook group to RSVP for our events and let us know you will be on your way to spread some cheer when you can! This is also a great way to get to know your fellow members and ask questions to our tight knit community of volunteers.
